El Nino? No problemo

No matter how you slice it, Boulder Hut guests will be skiing powder this season. Last year conditions in the 15,000-acre Boulder Hut ski tenure were fantastic despite the scarcity of snow at many North American ski resorts. Our base elevation is at 2,000 meters (6,500 feet) under Mt. Higgins and Mt. Levesque at over 2,600 meters (8,500 feet).

The photo above was taken last mid-March in our alpine when BC resorts like Fernie, Red Mountain and Whitewater were on the ropes. Even Rosie thought the snow was great (note her tracks). As for forecasting, we are paying attention to reports of anticipated above average precipitation this season. We are confident Boulder Hut will be keeping cool this powder season!
