Thank to our awesome crews, we're open!

We had two crews in from 10-19 December to open the lodge for the season. The focus was on getitng the micro hydro and water system running, shoveling roofs and cleaning chimneys, organizing food staples and supplies, building the new helipad and tracking out paths, making a few repairs to the Boulder Hut and cranking out substantial progress on completing the new sauna.

Thanks Maurice, Shirley, Serge, Britian, Ali, Courtney, EJ, Mike, Mike, Brianna, and Brett. Of note, we picked up an additional meter of snow during the week so the 2018/19 is off to a fine start (and over the last few days the pow skiing was very good for early season:) We’re stoked!

PEAKSTRATEGEM is offering a unique lodge- based Avalanche Skills Training 2 (AST2) course at Boulder Hut. Participants experience 7 days of guided, catered ski touring and the option to improve avalanche skills.

From treeline to alpine, simple to complex, Boulder Hut offers perfectly varied terrain. Fertile ground to master decision making, route finding, and skiing and snowboarding technique.

Classroom curriculum is covered in the mornings and evenings so program participants spend more time on snow skiing and analyzing the terrain.

Students perform daily forecasts, select appropriate terrain, develop route plans, and lead challenging days while under direct supervision of PeakStrategem's experienced instructors.

Early season timing allow program participants to hone their skills during the entire 2019 ski touring season.
